Campeonato Mundial De Ajedrez, Londres 2018 Round 1 & 2

El primer juego por El Campeonato Mundial de Ajedrez de la FIDE en la ciudad de Londres entre el campeón actual Magnus Carlsen y su rival Fabiano Caruana terminó en un empate difícil. Carlsen fue el que no terminó contento cuando tuvo una posición ganadora en la jugada 33, donde disponía de mucho más tiempo en el reloj y su oponente estaba bajo la presión de 30 segundos. Pero cuando alcanzaron el control de tiempo, en la jugada 40, Caruana encontró el salvavidas… El juego terminó en 115 movimientos, el más largo entre estos dos jugadores; su récord anterior fue de 91 en Bilbao 2012.

El segundo juego no fue tan interesante como el primero y dejó el encuentro empatado a 1. Magnus Carlsen eligió 1.d4 y se desarrolló una línea principal Alfil f4 de el Gambito de Dama. La elección de Caruana en su defensa funcionó bien y produjo al menos igualdad inmediata. Los jugadores cambiaron a un juego final de Torre – Peón donde Carlsen era el menos favorecido, pero sus peones del Ala Del Rey divididos significaban que sus posibilidades de perder eran prácticamente nulas. Los jugadores continuaron sus movimientos para un empate en la jugada 49.
